The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels starting in January or August of 2010 in the area of Construction Management. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising students, and attracting funded research. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or any other construction related field. The position requires an earned doctorate in Construction Engineering or Construction Management but applicants with a terminal degree in Architecture will also be considered. Selected candidates should have a broad background that may include knowledge of architecture, construction graphics, materials and methods, contract documents, project management, estimating, scheduling, automation, information technology, and construction simulation.
This position provides exceptional opportunities for individuals who wish to join a first-rate multi-disciplinary department with an active Center for Emerging Technologies in Infrastructure that has strong ties to major industrial partners and eminent internationally renowned universities. The selected candidates will work with renowned faculty who have co-authored more than 20 textbooks. The selected candidates will also have unique opportunities to teach overseas through our study abroad programs in the UK, France, Egypt, Jordan and other destinations. The department currently has 15 full-time faculty positions, 10 part-time faculty and approximately 275 students.
