One Assistant Professor Position (other ranks considered) at the Construction Management Department, within School of Architecture, Civil Engineering Technology, and Construction

Appointment Date: Aug.16, 2010 or Jan.11, 2010 Location: Metro Atlanta

A master’s degree is mandatory and Ph.D. is preferred. The degrees should be in Construction Management/Engineering/Architecture/Land Development or a closely related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in the US construction industry. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and demonstrate expertise in two of the following areas- scheduling, estimating, construction project management, sustainable construction and land development. The selection process will place emphasis on the applicants’ potential for contributions in teaching, scholarship, and service. Candidates must demonstrate competence in the use of written and oral communications.

Southern Polytechnic State University is part of the University System of Georgia (USA). SPSU has approximately 4,800 students enrolled. The Construction Management department offers an ACCE-accredited Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree. The department enrolls approximately 400 students in the four-year Bachelors degree program and 100 students in the masters and other programs.
