The Kimmel School at Western Carolina University seeks nominations and applications for its tenure-track Kimmel Endowed Professor and Head of the Department of Construction Management. This appointment will be made at the rank of Full or Associate Professor.

The Kimmel Professorship in Construction Management is intended to attract a nationally recognized authority who can play a key role in setting and implementing the vision and direction of the Department.

The ideal candidate will have established a nationally recognized program of external research and industry engagement, will have a demonstrated record of administrative and leadership experience in program development, and will show a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and to developing and strengthening collaborations across departments and colleges in the university.  

Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering, architecture/architectural engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.

 

Candidates for this position must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of excellence in both teaching and research, as well as strong leadership skills in building education and research programs. Familiarity with ACCE accreditation is highly desirable.
