Position: One Full-time Tenure-Track position in the Department of Construction Management. Effective August 2010.

 

Responsibilities: To teach undergraduate courses in an ACCE accredited program with the potential to teach in the On-Line Masters of Construction Management program.  Candidates should have professional competencies in the field of construction management as defined in our curriculum. Preference will be given to a candidate able to teach courses in the following areas:  Mechanical and Electrical Systems, Safety, or Surveying. Candidates must be committed to innovation and creativity in state of art construction management education methods and approaches. The candidate is expected to demonstrate proficiency in computer applications as it relates to Construction Management. 

 

 Successful candidates will be responsible to develop and maintain curriculum in Construction Management and supporting technical areas. Individuals will mentor/advise students, perform service functions, and articulate with construction industry representatives.  The successful candidate must have the ability and qualifications to develop and sustain an active research program with external funding.  Service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

 

Rank & Salary: Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience.  An earned doctorate, prior to employment, in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is requiredPreference will be given to individuals with a combination of teaching at the university level and recent relevant industry experience at the construction management level.

The Department: Fourteen full-time faculty offer programs leading to a Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Construction Management.  The Department serves 650+ undergraduate and graduate majors.
