Organizational Unit Overview: The College of Engineering and Technology is comprised of the Departments of Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, and Technology Systems. Job Duties: The Department of Construction Management in the College of Engineering and Technology seeks a full-time Teaching Instructor(s) or Teaching Assistant Professor(s) on a 9-month appointment to teach and advise students beginning in January 2025. This is a fixed-term positions which is annually renewed based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Contingent upon available funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible to develop and maintain curriculum in Construction Management, mentor/advise students, perform service functions, and articulate with construction industry representatives. The position necessitates working in a team setting and making positive contributions to the Department. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

The Department of Construction Management currently has 14 full-time faculty members serving approximately 690 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Working Title:  Teaching Instructor; Teaching Assistant Professor (Fixed-Term Faculty)

Minimum Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. All degrees must be conferred by accredited institutions.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: A combination of teaching and relevant industry professional experience at the project management level (preferably in the United States) of at least five years is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach undergraduate courses in BIM, Surveying, Contract, Equipment Management, Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems (MEP). Applicants holding a Ph.D. degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field able to teach graduate courses will be preferably considered.
