Instructor of Construction Management

 

 

The Bailey College of Engineering Technology invites applications for a full-time teaching position in Construction Management at the rank of Instructor.

The successful candidate will actively contribute to continuing program development, collaborate with colleagues, and engage with students to promote curriculum in areas of construction management. Teach related topics in an intensively active, outcomes-based learning environment in which innovative pedagogy, timely curriculum, creative assignments, and excellence in student work is paramount. Continuous improvement of course materials in on-campus sections must be replicated through Indiana State University’s highly regarded online program.

The Instructor of Construction Management may be assigned to teach any of the following courses:

· CNST 213 – Environmental Control Systems 3 Credits

· CNST 306 – Sustainable Design and Construction 3 Credits

· CNST 314 – Estimating and Bid Preparation 3 Credits

· CNST 330 – Construction Accounting, Finance, and Safety 3 Credits

· CNST 420 – Construction Surveying 3 Credits

· And other courses as needed.

 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree in construction management or a closely related field including but not limited to Engineering Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Engineering or Architecture, and three years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in the construction management, civil engineering, civil engineering technology, architectural engineering, or engineering with focus on civil with ten years of experience in the domestic United States or Canadian construction industry. At least one degree must be in construction management, civil engineering or architectural engineering.
