Job Overview
The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management (CAECM) of the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications to fill multiple full-time tenured/tenure track faculty positions to support the curriculum and research efforts of the department in the areas of Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Construction Engineering and Management. Applicants at all levels of professorship will be considered. Rank and tenure will be determined based on the candidate’s credentials. Appointees will be evaluated for reappointment, promotion, and tenure based on criteria established by the CAECM department and CEAS.
The CAECM Department is comprised of a unique combination of degree programs encompassing the disciplines necessary to design, construct, and manage the built environment and infrastructure. The CAECM Department consists of 23 full-time faculty and 3 full-time staff and 2 part-time staff, and houses three accredited undergraduate programs with mandatory co-op: Architectural Engineering (175 students), Civil Engineering (374 students), and Construction Management (335 students). The CAECM Department also houses the Civil Engineering M.Eng. M.S., and Ph.D. graduate programs and the Architectural Engineering M.Eng. program with 83 graduate students. Architectural Engineering students can pursue M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering. The Department has strong educational and research programs in building systems, construction, geotechnical, pavement, structural, and transportation.
