The Department of Engineering Technology at Texas State University is seeking applicants to fill two (2) tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in our growing Construction Science and Management and Concrete Industry Management programs, beginning in Fall 2026. The undergraduate programs are accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) respectively and currently serve almost 1,000 students. The department also operates MS and PhD programs in construction management with in-person and online options.
The selected candidate will be expected to excel in teaching and have excellent oral and written English communication skills. The individual selected for this position will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as departmental needs require.
The selected candidate is also expected to conduct research and to secure external funding, establish an independent research program and publish in areas appropriate for both construction management and concrete industry management, and for an emerging research institution. The candidate will also be expected to engage both undergraduate and graduate students in their research activities and to supervise graduate students.
In addition, the selected candidate will participate in appropriate service activities at the program, department, university and professional levels.

Ability to teach in one or more of the following content areas:
Earned construction industry certifications (i.e. Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), LEED-AP, DBIA Design-Build Professional, or related).
