Full-Time Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure Track)

The Department of Manufacturing and Construction Management is seeking candidates for a 1-year special appointment as Assistant Professor of Construction Management to begin August 22, 2025.  This position is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal based on performance and departmental needs. In the next one to three years, there will be a search for a tenure-track position to replace this special appointment position.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·       A Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a similar discipline.

·       At least one year of teaching experience at the college or university level, or 5 years of relevant industry experience.

·       Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       A Doctoral Degree or Terminal Professional Degree in an appropriate discipline.

·       More than one year teaching experience in an accredited U.S university.

·       Five years of relevant industry experience in the U.S. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students and can contribute effectively to our academic programs.  

 

Responsibilities include:

·       Teach undergraduate courses/ this might include hands-on laboratories.

·       Prepare course materials, lectures, and assignments and collect assessment data.

·       Courses that the candidate will be assigned to teach include:

  1. CAD & BIM Tools for Construction
  2. Construction Documents
  3. Other courses may include Introduction to MEP systems, Building Construction Systems, or others depending on the applicant’s area of expertise.
