Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Effort: 90% Teaching, 10 % Service
The Department of Construction Management has two openings at the rank of Instructor or Senior Instructor. This Instructor or Senior Instructor position is a Non-Tenure Track Faculty; rank is based on qualifications at time of hire will teach, at minimum, 12 credits of CM courses each semester per area of expertise and department needs.
Teach relevant undergraduate courses for students preparing for a career in the construction industry or related careers; work with student organizations and/or mentor student competition teams; and participate in service activity in support of the university, the department mission, and the profession.
Exemplary service activities include membership on committees that represent the Department of Construction Management at the college and university level and/or providing input and feedback on department decision making, initiatives, policies, and practices.
Potential for research effort to be incorporated after hiring, if desired.

The preferred start date for this position is 1/2/2025 to allow for a successful applicant to begin teaching in the spring semester. However, a start date of 8/15/2025 to allow for a successful applicant to begin teaching in the fall semester may also be negotiated with the hiring supervisor.

The undergraduate program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. Academic advising, and internship and career placement support is provided by professional staff. The department engages in teaching, scholarly, and outreach activities to promote the development of knowledge and skills related to construction management. The Department’s facilities include over 36,000 square feet in dedicated labs (physical testing and computer), classrooms, and offices to support its research, teaching, and service mission.
